We have a dedicated team of clergy, lay leaders and church officers who help our Ministry Area to grow and thrive.
Ministry Area Leader
James is our Ministry Area Leader, responsible for leadership and oversight of everything we do, and for growing and developing leaders across our churches. He is married to Amy, with one daughter Evie, who is 6 going on 16 years old.
Matt is our pioneer curate, having trained for ordination on the Church Mission Society’s Pioneer Leadership Course. He is originally from Birmingham, but came to Wales to study at university in Aberystwyth. Matt is married to Jess, and they have one daughter, Clara, with another child due at the end of the year.
Beverley is our Associate Priest, with particular responsibility for Pastoral Care and Healing.
Cheryl leads our cafe church congregation at St David’s Pentwyn.
John is one of our Lay Leaders, and the service leader for Evensong at All Saints Cyncoed, as well as assisting at other services. John is part of the team who visit Ty Enfys, a local care home, for our monthly service there, as well as helping with our Pastoral Visiting Team. Ministry Area Warden
Rhys is one of two Ministry area wardens and shares a responsibility for the life administration and progress within the MA, working closely alongside the clergy. Rhys enjoys supporting specific projects within the community and MA and is the driving force behind the MA men’s group. Ministry Area Warden
Sue is our Ministry Area Rector’s Warden, as well as a warden at All Saints Cyncoed. She has been part of the congregation in Cyncoed for 43 years, serving as a Chorister, and a member of Ladies Forum and Mother’s Union, as well as often acting as verger for baptisms, weddings and funerals. Now retired from a teaching career in both higher and secondary education, Sue can often be found in the Ministry Area office on a Friday or in church…
Linda is very happily married to Paul and has three daughters, Hayley, Jessica and Alysia, and four Grandchildren. She started going to All Saints Cyncoed more than thirty years ago, subsequently attending St David’s Pentwyn when her daughter started school there. She is our Ministry Area Treasurer and is regularly in the Ministry Area Office during the week. She is also a leader in our Youth Club held at St David’s School.
