James is our Ministry Area Leader, responsible for overseeing the work of the Ministry Area and leading our Ministry Team. Matt is our Pioneer Curate, having trained for ordination on the Church Mission Society’s Pioneer Leadership Course. He is originally from Birmingham, but came to Wales to study at university in Aberystwyth. Matt is married to Jess, and they have two children, Clara and Orson.
Beverley is our Associate Priest, with particular responsibility for Pastoral Care and Healing.
Cheryl leads our cafe church congregation at St David’s Pentwyn.
Following his ordination in June 2019, John now serves on our ministry team as Curate. Until recently, John was co-chair for many years of the Cardiff East Ecumenical Mission Partnership, and still acts as Chair of the Churches Together Shop at the Maelfa Shopping Centre. During his spare time, John also enjoys quality time with his family, studying, reading and walking.
Rhys is one of two Ministry area wardens and shares a responsibility for the life administration and progress within the MA, working closely alongside the clergy. Rhys enjoys supporting specific projects within the community and MA and is the driving force behind the MA men’s group. Sue is our Ministry Area Rector’s Warden, as well as a warden at All Saints Cyncoed. She has been part of the congregation in Cyncoed for 43 years, serving as a Chorister, and a member of Ladies Forum and Mother’s Union, as well as often acting as verger for baptisms, weddings and funerals. Linda is very happily married to Paul and has three daughters, Hayley, Jessica and Alysia, and four Grandchildren. She started going to All Saints Cyncoed more than thirty years ago, subsequently attending St David’s Pentwyn when her daughter started school there. She is our Ministry Area Treasurer and is regularly in the Ministry Area Office during the week. She is also a leader in our Youth Club held at St David’s School.
